LS3/5a

The first time I heard a pair of LS3/5a speakers was at a client’s home. They were a pair of Rogers versions. They amazed me with the way they disappeared, and the scale and precision from such a small box. I always knew I would have to have a pair at some point. I listened to versions from Harbeth and Spendor that were available to me at the time, but they were very pale imitations of those first Rogers I had heard. When a friend told me he was importing Falcon Acoustics, I had to have a listen. Straightaway I knew these were a step up from even the Rogers I had heard. A few other people that I knew and respected were involved with Falcon as well, so it sealed the deal. I bought them. They’re not cheap at all, but definitely worth it. Only 83dB, but 15Ω they are relatively amp friendly. Makes me regret selling my Radford STA15 now! They are amazing little boxes. I will need to get some nice stands for them, probably made by a friend locally.  I have some Herbies isolation disc things that I will use as well, just because I can.
