Silvercore

I managed to pick up a second hand Silvercore One to Ten  step up transformer. I needed one for the Leben /401 set up as the Sentec phono stage is a low gain MM type.

It is interesting because it uses toroidal transformers, wound from copper wire on proprietary amorphous cores, with a primary-coil impedance of 100 ohms.
This should make it ideal for EMT TSD15s and Denon 103s, although I intend to use it mainly with a Lyra Lydian Beta.

Art Dudley reviewed it favourably in Stereophile a few years back too.

It will be a nice addition to my analogue setup, and I won’t make the mistake of selling this one, like I did with the Grace GS-10 sut a few years back…
