I Pity the Fool…

Trawling through old reviews I found this one of the Mr T. power filter. Essentially it is a big isolation transformer. I have two of them, one for my amps and turntable, and the other for the digital stuff and everything else. Not as bling as the human Mr T, but probably more useful for me in the long run. Maybe I have become complacent, but the noise floor in my system is unbelievably low. My speakers are 100dB, and even with my ear right up to them, and the volume turned way up, I can hear nothing. It’s something I have noticed with all Shindo gear from way back when I got my first Aurieges linestage. The Mr Ts definitely isolate from the grimness that is noisy mains power.

Art reviewed it in Stereophile as well in his Listening column.
