Absorption

I got hold of some Vicoustic Wavewood Ultra absorber/diffusors to try out. I’ve put them behind my couch where I sit to listen. They apparently primarily absorb in the midrange, but having a mdf front there will be diffusion in there as well. John Darko did a video recently where he treated his whole room with Vicoustic stuff… I won’t be doing that, but it’s worth a watch to get some insight into these things.

I didn’t want to glue them to the wall, so I attached some eyelets and wire to hang them like a painting. Seems to work pretty well. I am thinking any room treatment is good room treatment, and I do have the DC-2 diffusors on the ceiling which helped as well. We shall see I guess.
