Another gadget to add to my collection of useful accessories. I had meant to order one of these from the manufacturer but never got around to it. Today on my journey to the city I found one for sale in a record store, so bought it.

It’s a reamer designed to ream out the centre holes of LPs that might be fractionally too small.

Quite a handy device and this is really well made. The two halves are magnetically joined together which is good. Made in good old Canada. They have a bit of info and a couple of videos here.

A much better and safer contraption to use rather than the big tapered reamer I have had to use in the past. It wasn’t inexpensive, but not crazy either, and given it will last many many years I think it is pretty good value.
